By using the Platform you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your data as described here. This policy is part of, and read with, our Terms & Conditions.

1. The personal data we collect

Identity & contact: mobile number (required, for OTP login), name, and email (optional).
Delivery address: flat/building, area, city, and PIN code.
Precise location (GPS): to determine whether we serve your area and to deliver accurately, we collect your device’s precise location. This is required to place an order (you may turn the OS permission off, but then cannot order; you may instead search your area). See Section 7. We do not track your location in the background.
Order & transaction data: items, amounts, GST invoices, delivery details, ratings/reviews, and support requests (including any photographs you attach).
Payment data: online payments use our partner Razorpay; we do not store your full card/UPI credentials.
Device & usage data: app version, device identifiers, diagnostics/crash logs, and log data (IP address, app events) used to keep the app secure and working.
In-app usage analytics: the customer app records how the app is used — screens and products viewed, items added to the cart, and orders placed — via Google Firebase Analytics, linked to a pseudonymous identifier (your account ID), never to your name, phone number, or email. We use this to understand and improve the Platform and, in future, to show more relevant products (such as recommendations). Firebase processes this data under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Website callback/lead form (extinggo.com): if you ask us to call you back (including “notify me when the app launches”), we collect your name, mobile number, city, what you need (buy / refill / service / bulk), and any optional message you type. To prevent spam and abuse we also record your browser’s user-agent string and a one-way hash of your IP address (we do not store the raw IP). We use these details only to contact you about that request and delete web leads within 180 days.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data and do not require it.

2. Why we use your data

Create and secure your account and log you in (OTP).
Determine serviceability, take and fulfil orders, and deliver to you.
Process payments, issue GST invoices, and meet tax duties (including Section 194-O TDS).
Send fire-safety servicing reminders and order/delivery notifications.
Provide customer support and handle grievances.
Prevent, detect, and act on fraud/abuse (e.g. repeated COD refusals) and enforce our Terms.
Understand and improve the Platform (analytics, troubleshooting, research), on an aggregated/de-identified basis where possible.
Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.

We process your data on the basis of your consent and, where applicable, for performance of your order and legal/regulatory compliance (“legitimate uses”). You may withdraw consent any time via grievance@extinggo.com or by deleting your account (Section 12). We will give effect to a withdrawal/erasure request within 7 days; withdrawal does not affect processing already done or data we must retain by law, and we may be unable to offer some or all Services afterwards.

4. Cookies & tracking technologies

Our website and app (and partners we use) may use cookies, SDKs, pixel tags, and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the Platform. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality. We do not run third-party advertising networks that profile you across other sites, and we do not sell your data.

The extinggo.com website specifically sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The one third-party service it uses is Google reCAPTCHA, loaded only on the callback form to block automated spam (an essential protection); reCAPTCHA may set cookies and collects device/interaction signals under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms. A small notice on the site records that you have seen this information; dismissing it is stored locally in your browser and identifies nothing about you.

5. Marketing communications & your choices

Transactional and service messages (OTP, order status, servicing reminders, and legal notices) are part of the Service and cannot be opted out of while you have an account. Promotional messages (offers/updates) are sent only where you have opted in, and you can opt out anytime via the in-app setting or the unsubscribe option in the message.

We share the minimum necessary data, and only with:

Sellers/Vendors — to fulfil your order (they are the seller of record).
Delivery Partners — your name, address, and a contact number, only while your order is out for pickup/delivery; after delivery/cancellation your contact details are redacted from the delivery view.
Payment partner (Razorpay) — to process online payments and refunds (PCI-compliant).
Service providers/processors — SMS/OTP, transactional email, and maps/ geocoding providers, acting on our instructions.
Google reCAPTCHA — spam/abuse prevention on the extinggo.com callback form (see Section 4); Google processes the verification signals as an independent provider.
Group companies / affiliates — for internal business purposes, under this policy.
Fraud prevention — we may exchange information with other companies and agencies to detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
Tax and government authorities — where required for GST/Section 194-O compliance.
Law-enforcement or courts — where required by valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Extinggo, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Location data (specific notice)

Because Extinggo delivers physical fire-safety equipment, your precise device location is used to (a) confirm you are in a served area and (b) route delivery. Location is captured only when you use the location feature; you control the OS permission and can withdraw it in your device settings. Coordinates are stored with your order to enable delivery and retained with order records (Section 10).

8. Third-party links & services

The Platform may link to or rely on third-party sites/services (e.g. the payment partner, maps). Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies, not this one; we are not responsible for their practices.

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — access controls, authentication, and encryption in transit. Delivery-contact details are access-restricted and redacted after delivery; payments use PCI-compliant partners. No method is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the Data Protection Board of a personal-data breach as required.

10. Where we store it & how long we keep it

Your data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure hosted in India. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law — for example, order and tax/GST records are retained for the period required under tax law (generally up to 8 years). Support-ticket photographs are kept for a limited dispute window, then deleted. When no longer required, data is deleted or anonymised.

11. Your rights (Data Principal rights under DPDP)

Subject to law, you may access a summary of your data and its use, correct or update it, erase it (where not under a legal retention duty), nominate another person to exercise your rights on death/incapacity, withdraw consent (Section 3), and raise a grievance (Section 13). Contact grievance@extinggo.com or use the in-app Privacy & data / Delete account options. We may verify your identity before acting.

12. Account deletion

Request deletion in the app (Profile → Privacy & data → Delete account). On deletion we remove or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law (e.g. tax invoices) and data needed to resolve disputes or prevent fraud.

14. Children

The Platform is for users 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in the app or by your contact details. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
